Stomach Cancer
Stomach cancer, also known as gastric cancer, is a malignant tumor in the lining of the stomach. Stomach cancers are classified according to the type of tissue from which they originate.
The most common type of stomach cancer is Adenocarcinoma, which starts in the glandular tissue of the stomach and accounts for 90% to 95% of all stomach cancers.

Diagnosis
To diagnose stomach cancer, your physician will perform an upper endoscopy. If irregularities are found, a biopsy will be taken and sent to the lab for testing. Once diagnosed, determining the stage of the stomach cancer is the next step.
